Fierceness Served! The ENIKAlley Coffeehouse Screening | BlackStar Film Festival on Wed. Aug. 2nd @ 8pm

Philadelphia, PA

ACTION!! BlackStar Film Festival has released its 2023 film program! I’m so excited to announce that Fierceness Served! The ENIKAlley Coffeehouse is screening during the festival’s Portraiture Shorts Program on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 8 pm at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre. The Fierceness Served! short documentary chronicles the unsung renaissance that evolved in Washington, DC. Black LGBTQ artists and activists created the ENIKAlley Coffeehouse. This mid-1980s venue was a safe haven and creative incubator during the onslaught of AIDS and crack – later inspiring Black queer creatives internationally.
